The Monroe® Magnum® shock absorber for class 6-8 vehicles is the first gas-charged, large-bore shock for air spring and taper leaf suspensions. The nitrogen gas charge provides the fast response essential for today’s heavy truck suspension systems.

  • FOR HARDWORKING COMMERCIAL VEHICLES -- Designed to handle the demands of high mileage and severe use class 6-8 trucks and buses
  • CONSISTENT RIDE -- All-weather fluid contains special additives to assist with extreme temperatures and help reduce oil breakdown while larger 2-3/8-in. reserve tube holds more fluid to improve performance (most applications)
  • EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING -- 10-Stage valving, tuned specifically to each vehicle, adjusts to road extremes while the larger 1-3/4-in. bore provides more efficient damping control to provide consistency and a smooth ride (most applications)
  • STRONG AND DURABLE -- Shouldered bushing and bonded bushing with sleeve protects from bushing walkout for improved quality; arc welds up to 360° for durability
  • BUILT TO LAST -- Robust hydraulic lock-out prevents over extension of air bags, top-out of the piston and averts damage to seal assembly (most applications)
  • LONGER SERVICE LIFE -- Bearing with PTFE coating reduces friction between rod and rod guide combined with nitrocarburized piston rod provides durability and longer service life (most applications)
  • REDUCED NOISE, VIBRATION AND HARSHNESS -- Delivers exceptional control and isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness under most driving conditions
  • IMPROVES PERFORMANCE -- Nitrogen gas-charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade
