The PR-4 Pressure Protection Valve is a normally closed pressure sensitive control valve. The valve is most commonly used to isolate one reservoir from another by closing automatically at a preset pressure. The factory pressure setting is noted. To overcome the internal spring force and valve requires pressure above this setting. As long as the supply pressure exceeds this setting, the valve remains open. When the inlet or supply pressure drops below this level, the valve closes to "protect" the circuit.
