Relay Valve Repair Kit R-6
The R-6 Relay-Emergency Valve is commonly used on pre-121 trailers and in current off highway braking systems and trailer converter dollies. The R-6 is a dual function valve that under normal braking conditions serves as a relay valve, applying and releasing the service brakes. The emergency function of the valve senses supply line pressure and in cases where the supply line pressure falls below a preset minimum, the valve will automatically apply the vehicle service brakes from its own protected reservoir.
